The Haines Group (THG) has been a marine industry leader since being founded in 1959 by John Sydney Haines AM and his family. John came from a family of boat builders and fishermen and honed his craft during his early years before using his skills and experience to build THG into an enviable empire. Still a family owned and run business with John Jnr at the helm, John’s influence continues to be felt every day at the Haines factory and offices since his passing in 2009.

With over 59 years of innovation, research and development under its belt, THG today design and manufacture a range of award-winning trailerable fiberglass boat brands including their flagship Haines Signature Boats range, Tournament Pleasure Boats and Seafarer Boats. It is also the largest private distributor of Suzuki Marine outboards, sold through an extensive network across Australia.

For almost six decades, Haines Signature Boats has been designing and manufacturing an award-winning range of trailerable fibreglass boats in fishing, sports and cruiser lines.

With the world-patented Signature Variable Deadrise Hull, Haines Signature Boats has revolutionised the fibreglass boat industry with a ride that offers remarkable fuel economy and stability at rest.

Nothing rides like a Signature!

There is no other outboard brand like it in the world. Suzuki Marine is truly unique…

THG has been the exclusive Australian distributor of Suzuki Marine outboard motors since 2002. Sold through an extensive network of dealers throughout Australia, the Suzuki range offers a choice of outboards ranging from 2.5hp to 350hp for leisure craft through to high-performance commercial vessels.

SUZUKI MARINE is the ultimate outboard motor!

Tournament Pleasure Boats manufacture an award winning range of trailerable sports cruisers, day cruisers and fishing boats from 16ft right up to 26ft.

The complete stable of Tournament Boats is purposely designed to withstand harsh Australian conditions and is proudly 100% Australian made and owned. Tournament Pleasure Boats intends to be at the forefront of Australian boating industry by providing our customers with a range that is innovative in design and built to the highest quality.

Seafarer’s famous models have remained strong in Australian boater’s hearts since being founded by Doug Fry in 1957.

THG acquired the Seafarer brand in 2007 from Lindsay Fry (Doug’s son), ensuring the company remains in the hands of an Australian family-owned manufacturer to continue the Seafarer legacy. Every boat in the Seafarer range is 100% Australian made and owned.

Seafarer have been made for generations… and today’s Seafarers will continue to be used for generations to come.
